Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum (pro-rate), 6 month Fixed Term Contract
Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm + 1 hour lunch break (3 days in office, 2 days working from home)

About the role
As part of our commitment to innovation and development, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will support day-to-day financial operations, ensure accurate record-keeping, and assist with budgeting, invoicing, and reporting activities. This role is perfect for someone looking to develop their career in finance within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities will include…
- Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and journal entries
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes – invoicing processing, reconciliations and credit control
- Maintain balance sheet accounts
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting process
- Prepare and post journals and ensure accuracy in the general ledger
- Assist in audit preparation and respond to auditor queries
- Provide financial analysis and reports as required by management
- Continuously improve processes and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
- Conduct user acceptance testing as part of the Finance Transformation program.
Essential
- Part qualified ACCA/CIMA or AAT Level 4 equivalent
- Experience in a finance or accounting role
- Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping and financial principles
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable
- Using SAP B1 or similar ERP
