G MASS Consulting are working with a leading Corporate Services provider, seeking an experienced Finance Process Transformation Consultant with a deep understanding of real estate investment structures and finance operations. The firm is undergoing a major global operating model transformation, bringing together multiple Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) and investment structures. The transformation aims to create consistent, standardised, and technology-enabled processes across all regions and entities.
This role will be central to documenting, analysing, and redesigning core Finance function processes, beginning with Accounting, and extending into Treasury, Accounts Payable, and Tax (compliance). You will work closely with finance and technology teams to define standardised, scalable processes that reflect the realities of real estate fund and asset lifecycles, ensuring compliance, control, and efficiency across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Document end-to-end finance processes across accounting, treasury, accounts payable, and tax, focusing initially on accounting workflows tied to real estate investments.
- Develop a clear view of the “as-is” state across entities and define the “to-be” design that supports the future global operating model.
- Identify opportunities to standardise and simplify processes across funds, SPVs, and jurisdictions.
- Provide practical recommendations on rationalising finance technologies and data sources supporting these processes.
- Collaborate with technology teams to align on system rationalisation, data standardisation, and iterative improvement roadmaps.
- Ensure that redesigned processes incorporate regulatory and investor-specific requirements and align with internal control frameworks.
- Evaluate opportunities for offshoring and labour arbitrage, helping design efficient global resourcing models.
- Operate in sprints, delivering tangible process artefacts and recommendations for each functional area.
- Engage with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Technology, and Real Estate Investment teams to ensure business alignment and adoption.
- Strong experience in real estate investment firm, and knowledge of the real estate investment lifecycle, including fund formation, capital deployment, SPV structures, asset management, and investor reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in business process documentation, mapping, and re-engineering within financial or investment organisations.
- Expertise across Finance functions, particularly accounting processes, with familiarity in treasury, AP, and tax compliance.
- Familiarity with finance and ERP systems (SAP or similar) preferred; more critical is the ability to connect business processes with investment and accounting systems.
- Comfortable engaging with technology teams to discuss target states, data structures, and system rationalisation.
Initial 12-month FTC, with the expectation to be extended. Salary to be discussed.
