Visual Arts Teacher to join their high school faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching
Grades 8 to 12, inspiring learners to develop both their technical skills and artistic expression.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Visual Arts to learners in Grades 8–12, maintaining high standards of academic and creative excellence.
- Design engaging lesson plans that nurture creativity, critical thinking, and technical proficiency.
- Prepare learners for assessments and examinations, with a strong focus on senior phase and matric success.
- Organize and oversee art exhibitions, projects, and cultural activities that enrich the school community.
- Contribute actively to the wider school environment and extracurricular programme.
Requirements:
- A relevant teaching qualification (B.Ed. or PGCE) with a specialization in Visual Arts.
- Proven experience teaching Visual Arts at the senior school level (Grade 8–12).
- IEB teaching experience will be an added advantage.
- SACE registration (mandatory).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A passion for the arts and for fostering learner growth and creativity.
