Reports To: Senior Accountant / Finance Manager

Our client is an established business within the aluminium industry, providing specialised administration services to related companies. They are now looking to expand their finance team with the addition of an Accountant.
Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports

Perform accurate data entry and maintain financial records

Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts

Process invoices, payments, purchase orders, and expense claims
-
Support month-end and year-end close processes
-
Assist with audits, tax preparations, and compliance requirements
-
Record and reconcile financial transactions related to aluminium production, procurement, and sales
-
Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts, ensuring alignment between physical stock and financial records

Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to track stock movements and resolve discrepancies

Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules for manufacturing equipment

Prepare reports on production costs, inventory valuation, and profitability

Assist in implementing and maintaining inventory control systems and procedures

Uphold confidentiality of financial information and ensure accuracy in all reporting
Desired Experience & Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience

Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS)

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Pastel)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
