The Trade & Category Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive consumer brand expansion, optimize category performance and deliver growth in collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and our customers. The role reports directly to the Marketing Director.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the planning and execution of annual trade marketing activities, keeping a sharp eye on budgets.
- Collaborate with Marketing Team and Key Account Managers to develop brand- and category-specific promotional guidelines and adapt the master promotional plan for individual clients.
- Manage promotional budget, evaluate ROI, and recommend adjustments to optimize brand visibility and maximize return on investment for each client.
- Analyze sales, market and competitor data, providing actionable recommendations for assortment, distribution, and merchandising improvements.
- Define distribution priorities and merchandising guidelines and provide training to ensure proper execution at retail.
- Actively participate in client presentations, including new products, category trends & consumer insights.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and key customers to create promotional material and in store theater/ events.
- Prepare and communicate updates to clients regarding price list changes and new product introductions.
- Coordinate with Finance on promotional budgets, monthly forecasts, and investment tracking, proposing corrective actions when necessary.
- Conduct regular market visits to ensure effective implementation of strategies and stay informed of competitor activity.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3-5 years in Trade Marketing, Category Management, or Shopper Marketing in FMCG
- University degree in Economics, Business, Marketing or related fields
- Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Nielsen or CIRCANA platforms
- Strong data analysis and presentation skills
- Solid understanding of retail operations & PnL
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
