We’re partnering with a leading manufacturer to recruit an organised, detail-driven Buyer to join their Procurement team. This early-career role (0–3 years’ experience) focuses on expediting local shipments, ensuring on-time, cost-effective delivery, and supporting world-class operational standards.

What You'll Do
- Build strong supplier relationships and negotiate price, quantity, and delivery timescales.
- Collaborate with Production and QA to support packaging solutions that enhance product visibility and shelf appeal.
- Process requisitions and keep Production updated on order status.
- Update inventory and manage stock levels accurately.
- Arrange transport and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Logistics, and Warehouse.
- Maintain precise documentation of processes and procedures, ensuring ISO compliance and audit readiness.
- Generate and process branch orders.
- Deliver on Procurement KPIs (e.g., supplier OTIF+Q, reducing demurrage costs, improving efficiency).
- Load and maintain price lists and supplier documentation on agreed platforms.
- Resolve invoice, quantity, and price variances.
- Collect and capture B-BBEE certificates.
What You'll Bring
- Qualification: BCom Supply Chain/Logistics or similar; CIPS/APICS advantageous.
- Exposure to import logistics/international trade is beneficial.
- 0–3 years in a procurement/buying or supply-chain environment (internships/grad roles welcome).
- Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office.
- Excellent organisational skills; able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Analytical, methodical, and detail-oriented, with strong documentation/reporting discipline.
