Cape Town is looking for a skilled finance professional to identify business opportunities, assess financial risks and structure investment deals. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical abilities, experience in business investment or finance and a proven track record in building relationships and making strategic decisions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Research the market to find potential clients and business opportunities.
- Attend networking events, conferences and industry forums to build and grow business connections.
- Analyse the financial health and risks of companies through thorough research.
- Create financial models to predict revenue, costs, risks and returns to support investment decisions.
- Write detailed investment reports outlining key findings, risks and potential profits.
- Negotiate and structure financing deals that balance risk and return.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key players in the SME market.
- Track and assess the performance of client portfolios.
- Stay updated on industry rules, market changes and economic trends to adjust investment strategies.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate should have:
- BCom degree in Accounting, Finance or a similar business-related field, with at least Financial Accounting 2 or an equivalent qualification.
Requirements:
- At least 4 years of experience in business investment or a related financial role.
- Experience in auditing, banking, financial accounting or sales and marketing would be a plus.
- The candidate should be good at building relationships, negotiating deals, analysing information and achieving results. A strong financial background is essential.
