Job Description
The Service Reliability Manager is a strategic role responsible for overseeing and coordinating the entire lifecycle of the organisation's IT environments. Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee non-production IT environments, ensuring stability and reliability.
- Manage environment lifecycle, including provisioning, configuration, and decommissioning.
- Enforce environment governance policies for usage, access control, and data management.
- Ensure environment readiness and alignment with release schedules.
- Coordinate environment-related requests and mediate competing priorities.
- Communicate with stakeholders to meet project requirements and support strategic objectives.
- Act as gatekeeper for environment access and deployment approvals.
- Collaborate with SRE and Incident Management to define and maintain SLOs, SLAs, and SLIs.
- Drive automation of environment provisioning and configuration.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in environment management, DevOps, or infrastructure operations
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and container orchestration
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate across technical teams
- Understanding of software development lifecycles and test data management
- Leadership skills to motivate teams, manage competing demands, and make informed decisions
- Strategic thinking to align environment strategy with business objectives
