Are you a seasoned developer ready to step into a leadership role? We’re looking for a Team Lead & Developer to guide, mentor, and deliver excellence within our dynamic tech team in Pretoria. This is a Hybrid role, after 3 months: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
Duties & Responsibilities
Team Guidance:
- Lead and mentor developers, providing technical and professional support to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Task Delegation: Assign tasks to team members, ensuring they understand priorities and have the resources needed to meet deadlines.
- Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to support individual growth and development.
Technical Oversight
- Architecture & Design: Guide the technical direction of projects, making architectural decisions and ensuring solutions align with business goals.
- Code Quality: Oversee code quality through code reviews, adherence to coding standards, and implementation of best practices.
- Technical Expertise: Contribute to the codebase, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and stay updated on emerging technologies to incorporate them into projects.
Project Management
- Planning & Strategy: Develop project plans and timelines, collaborating with stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and requirements.
- Process Management: Oversee the software development lifecycle, manage project sprints, and facilitate agile ceremonies.
- Risk & Quality Assurance: Monitor project progress, identify technical risks, manage technical risks, and ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services.
Collaboration & Communication
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a bridge between stakeholders, product owners, and the engineering team, ensuring transparency and a free flow of information.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other teams to align development efforts with broader business goals and requirements.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in development.
- Strong expertise in SQL and C#.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team.
- Afrikaans proficiency beneficial, but not required.
- Ready to hit the ground running – immediate start
Package & Remuneration
Salary: R60 000 - R80 000
