Bringing a human touch to city life
Urban is a treatment delivery app offering super-convenient, at-home wellness services across most major cities in the UK and Paris. In the 11 years since we launched, we’ve expanded from offering just massage to a full range of beauty treatments - including manis, pedis, and facials - as well as medical services like physiotherapy consultations and osteopathy. We’ve partnered with world-class brands in the health and beauty space, and we’re proud to work with and continue growing our 2,000-strong community of self-employed therapists we call the “Urban Pros.”
The role:
Reporting into the Head of Marketing, you’ll play a pivotal role in growing our awareness channels for both customers and Urban Pros. A key focus of your role will be top-of-funnel marketing - planting the seed for people who don’t even know they want a massage yet.
You’ll do this by strategically partnering with like-minded brands to reach relevant audiences, and by providing the social proof they need to feel confident booking with us.
You’ll own our social media calendar, and working closely with our in-house creative team and external content creators and influencers, you’ll plan and share educational and aspirational content for Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.
We’re a small (but mighty) marketing and creative team, so beyond the channels you own, you’ll also work alongside the wider team, developing exciting and commercially sound ideas for both customer and pro marketing during our quarterly and seasonal brainstorming sessions. It’s your chance to contribute ideas across all channels - not just your own - and have a real impact on the overall marketing mix.
From time to time, you’ll also be involved in ad hoc tasks like helping to plan events and supporting with outdoor advertising rollouts or launching new treatments - to name just a few of the things we hope to do more of in the future.
Here’s an idea of some of the things you’ll be doing day-to-day:
- Own our social media calendar: Plan content for the month ahead (or quarter, it’s your choice!) and brief the assets we need that’ll make our socials shine.
- Manage influencer and ambassador relationships: From sourcing new influencers for city launches and treatment campaigns to nurturing our existing Urban ambassadors with gifted treatments, early access, and opportunities to collaborate.
- Lead brand partnerships: Seek out like-minded brands to collaborate with on everything from simple promo code swaps to co-branded treatments, in-store events, and creative campaigns that reach new audiences, excite the press, and engage our pros and existing customers.
- Support pro partnerships: Work with the Head of Marketing to build a new database of partners who can offer our pros perks like discounted supplies or tools that make working mobile as an Urban pro easier.
- Track and optimise performance: Analyse the results of your channels with support from the Head of Marketing, sharing insights and recommendations to continuously improve performance.
