Duties & Responsibilities
Key Performance Areas:
- Process Bank transactions accurately into Pastel Evolution and ensure reconciliation, processing of the company credit card, and petty cash as well.
- PAYE and WCA returns are paid timeously.
- Conduct all foreign payments regarding the imports, rebates, and refunds, load onto ABSA bank, using the correct BOP codes and SARB authorities to load payment.
- Conduct renewal of blanket authorities and liquor and TV licences.
- Check the customer rebate calculation, monthly, quarterly, and yearly, as requested by the customer.
- Responsible for managing the company’s debtor accounts to ensure accurate and timely collection of outstanding monies.
- Responsible for the monthly reconciliation of the company credit card.
- Review supplier reconciliation and ageing and assist clerks with queries.
- Load payments timeously, two or three days before the due date, and ensure that payments are reviewed by the financial manager and Head of Business Operations by the required deadline.
- Assist with the collection of cash from the reps and with banking when required.
- Assists the FM with audit requirements, balance sheet reconciliations, and related queries.
- Render the VAT 201’s for the business, ensure submissions are made timeously.
- Any ad hoc tasks to assist the FM
- Raise month-end journals – accruals, prepayments, salaries journal, etc.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts at month end.
- Prepare monthly Management accounts
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric with a suitable tertiary qualification in Finance
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent technical, financial accounting knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Foreign exchange experience is essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with above-average competency in Microsoft Excel.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, together with good reporting writing skills.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with an analytical mindset.
Ability to multitask and work in a pressurized and deadline-driven operating environment.
