At Medis, we are committed to staying at the forefront of technological innovation. As part of this ambition, we are exploring how Generative AI, including LLMs and agentic AI, can enhance our software development, data workflows, and product innovation. Our goal is to understand where and how these technologies can add value, and how we can best adapt to this rapidly evolving landscape.
We are looking for a hands-on Generative AI Intern to help us design and implement AI-powered solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem. You will work with PowerApps, Copilot Studio, and AI agents to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and explore integrations with tools like Jira and MCP servers. Your work will contribute to setting up a scalable AI-driven environment that can grow with our business needs.
This is not an applied research internship but focused on the practical use of existing AI tools - not on developing new deep learning models or neural networks. You'll work with tools like ChatGPT, open-source LLMs, prompt engineering techniques, and agentic AI frameworks to test and validate ideas.
What you’ll do
- Build and prototype AI agents using Copilot Studio & Power Platform
- Design workflows and integrations (e.g., Jira, MCP servers) to improve team productivity
- Experiment with generative AI tools (LLMs, Copilot, prompt engineering) for real use cases
- Work with the Azure AI environment and tools (e.g., Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services) to deploy and scale solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency
- Document solutions and best practices for future scalability
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s in AI, in Business Analytics, Business Information Systems, Business Informatics, Data Analytics, or related applied ICT fields.
- Familiarity with PowerApps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, or Microsoft Azure AI is a big plus
- Hands-on experience with scripting (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
- Curious, proactive, and able to translate technical solutions into practical business value
- Analytical mindset, with basic familiarity with data and logic (coding background not required, but an advantage).
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in an international, professional environment.
- Based in the Netherlands, available for 6 months (min. 32h/week)
- Real-world experience in applying AI in a professional environment
- Opportunity to work on practical, high-impact AI use cases
- A supportive, international team with a flexible working setup
- Internship allowance and travel expense reimbursement
