Brief Job Description
The Events and Marketing Analyst is primarily responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing internal and client-facing events, with a secondary focus on supporting marketing and communications initiatives. This role requires a highly organised, detail-oriented, and creative individual who can manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Analyst will play a key role in enhancing the firm’s visibility, client engagement, and overall brand presence through events coordination and marketing in the South African consulting landscape.

Reports to: Senior Business Development Analyst
Start Date: January 2026
Remuneration: R12 474 - 15 541 ZAR per month
Key Responsibilities
Event Strategy and Planning

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define event objectives, target audiences, and desired outcomes.

Develop comprehensive event plans including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

Identify and propose creative event concepts that align with company strategy and brand positioning.
Venue and Supplier Management

Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with venues, suppliers, caterers, and AV providers.

Ensure contracts, budgets, and logistics align with event requirements.

Maintain a supplier database and evaluate vendor performance for quality and cost-effectiveness.
Event Promotion and Communication

Coordinate event invitations, RSVPs, and attendee communications.

Support marketing efforts to promote events, including social media, email campaigns, and internal communication channels.

Prepare event materials such as agendas, signage, presentations, and promotional items.
Event Execution

Manage on-site logistics, including setup, registration, and coordination of staff and vendors.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues during events to ensure seamless execution.

Ensure events run safely, professionally, and within budget.
Post-Event Follow-Up and Evaluation

Conduct post-event analysis, including attendee feedback, engagement metrics, and budget reconciliation.

Prepare reports summarizing outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations for future events.

Maintain records of all events, including photos, media coverage, and feedback, to support internal knowledge sharing and future planning.
Marketing and Communications Support
- Drive content creation for social media, newsletters, email campaigns, and internal communications.

Maintain and update marketing collateral, templates, and brand assets to ensure consistency.

Support website updates, digital campaigns, and basic SEO initiatives as needed.

Track engagement metrics and maintain accurate CRM data and contact databases.

Assist with employer branding initiatives, showcasing company culture, employee stories, and project highlights.
Team Leadership and Supervisory Responsibilities

Provide mentorship and support to junior team members, or freelance contributors as needed.

Ensure quality and consistency in deliverables produced by junior contributors or collaborative teams.

Share knowledge of research tools, methodologies, and design practices to contribute to team capability-building.

Desired Experience & Qualification

A diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.

1–3 years of marketing experience, ideally within a professional services or consulting environment.

Solid knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, Mailchimp, Canva, WordPress, Google Ads).

Strong writing and editing skills with a flair for storytelling.

Experience coordinating events and managing external suppliers or service providers is advantageous.

Drivers license preferable but not required.
