The role
We’re now looking for a Head of Performance Marketing to lead our paid advertising strategy and drive growth across all channels. This is a key role within our Marketing team, responsible for shaping Ferryhopper’s acquisition strategy, optimising spend, and managing a growing team of performance marketers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own the annual paid media strategy and budget across all major channels (Google Ads, Meta, Apple Search Ads, Display, YouTube, etc.), aligned with company goals.
- Lead and manage the Performance Marketing team (currently 2 direct reports), including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
- Monitor and optimize campaigns on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring strong ROAS and efficient cost per acquisition.
- Partner cross-functionally within Marketing and with other functions such as Product and BI to align performance efforts with broader marketing and business objectives.
- Design and implement a structured testing roadmap for creatives, bidding strategies, audiences, and landing pages.
- Evaluate new growth opportunities, channels, and technologies to expand Ferryhopper’s reach and efficiency.
- Collaborate with external partners and agencies where needed, ensuring alignment with in-house strategies.
- 3+ years of experience leading a performance marketing team, ideally in a fast-paced B2C environment.
- Experience with budget planning and management, both yearly forecasts and agile monthly optimisations, for 8 figure budgets.
- Proven success in managing multi-channel paid advertising campaigns
- Deep understanding of digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, Meta ads, Apple Search Ads, Universal app campaigns etc).
- Strong understanding of revenue attribution and measurement.
- Strong analytical mindset, able to interpret data, uncover insights, and translate them into actionable decisions.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coach and inspire team members.
- A proactive and hands-on attitude, with a focus on execution and continuous improvement.
- Fluency in English (Greek, Italian or Spanish is a plus).
