Introduction

MD Gulf Recruitment, in partnership with our network partners in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is sourcing experienced Lead Inspectors for Oil & Gas refinery and petrochemical projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

Lead inspection services for refinery and community facilities, covering civil, electrical, piping, pressure vessels, and mechanical equipment.
Oversee repairs, replacements, and expansion projects to ensure compliance with ASME, API, and Aramco standards.
Maintain inspection schedules and fixed equipment repair histories.
Provide technical assistance to operations and maintenance teams for problem resolution.
Conduct performance evaluations for field supervisors and specialists.
Review plant modifications to ensure design compliance with codes and standards.
Develop and update company standards and inspection methodologies.
Ensure adherence to approved inspection frequencies for refinery pressure vessels and fixed equipment.
Administer training and promote certification levels within the inspection unit.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Education: BS in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
- Minimum 15 years in refinery/Natural Gas Liquids mechanical inspection.
- At least 10 years field experience in plant turnaround, troubleshooting, and inspection.
- Minimum 9 years in petroleum or similar process industries with 3 years in QA/QC enforcing or formulating codes and standards.
Certifications:
- API-510, API-570, API-653 (must hold at least two).
- Certified Welding Inspector (CSWIP 3.1 or CWI/AWS).
- NACE Certified Coating Inspector Level II.
- Qualified NDT Examiner (VT, PT, UT, MT).
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of ASME and API codes, pressure vessel standards, and refinery corrosion principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Fluent in English; professional and well-presented.
