Duties & Responsibilities
Purpose of Role
Christian Art Distributors is looking for a meticulous individual to help us create beautiful Scripture-based books ranging from Devotionals, Bible Studies and Daily Planners to Children’s Books and more.
Key Requirements
• Full-time position
• Editing of manuscripts
• Proofreading of any written material for publication
• Translation of texts into English according to the dynamic equivalent method
• Writing of backcover copy and marketing copy
• Compilation of texts.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
• An English first-language speaker with a flair for languages
• BA degree (with English), BA Hons (English) or BA Communications with English as major
• Previous copyediting and copywriting experience will serve as an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
• Proficiency in MS Word
• Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
• Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
• Excellent creative writing skills
• Meticulous nature and critical thinking are essential
• Ability to effectively interact in a team environment.
