We’re looking for a Team Leader Phlebotomy to help us strengthen and guide our phlebotomy team in Utrecht and the surrounding region, ensuring every patient receives a warm, professional experience and every colleague feels supported to grow and perform at their best.
As Team Leader Phlebotomy, you’ll lead a team of around 20–25 phlebotomy professionals. You’ll combine hands-on involvement in blood collection with leadership and operational coordination. Your focus will be on creating a motivated, collaborative team environment while maintaining smooth daily operations and excellent service quality.
Your responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and inspire your team of phlebotomists across multiple locations.
- Act as the first point of contact for your team, fostering open and clear communication.
- Oversee HR-related activities including absence management, annual reviews, and recruitment.
- Safeguard operational processes and uphold service quality standards.
- Participate in blood collection activities to stay connected with day-to-day practice.
- Collaborate with other Team Leaders and the Manager Front Office to drive improvements in quality, service, and productivity.
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO level).
- Proven experience in team leadership, preferably in healthcare or a service-oriented environment.
- Qualified in phlebotomy, or willing to become qualified.
- Valid driver’s license (B) and access to a car.
- A positive, empathetic, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively.

- Salary between €3,329 – €4,723 (based on 36 hours, FWG 50, Hospital CLA).
- 1-year contract with the intention for permanent employment.
- Travel allowance according to the Hospital CLA.
