We are currently looking to appoint a Conventional & Low Carbon Energy (CLC) Lead for our West African hub. Our people are the key to our success and are our most important asset. Based in Lagos Nigeria, you will join our Energy & Natural Resources team to help drive outcomes that help our clients devise strategies to deliver successful business solutions prior to sanction, achieve confidence around project delivery, ensure projects are effectively managed & controlled and facilitate the capture and transfer of knowledge.
As the West Africa CLC Lead you will have wide-spread exposure to the business environment and our clients within the Energy & Natural Resources space. You will have authority to act in the name of Turner & Townsend and primary ambition of your role will be to develop and grow a sustainable CLC business in WA.
Successful candidates should have a proven track record in managing people/teams, business development and client management in the consulting environment, and have an excellent understanding of the CLC industry’s best practice across the life cycle of projects and will be based permanently in Lagos with an expectation to travel as required.

Job Description
The CLC WA Leadwill have accountability, alongside the WA management team and the Africa CLC amongst others, for growing our CLC business in WA. Key duties include:
- Client & Opportunity management – Identification of opportunities, from the CLC Leads network as well as the Turner & Townsend ENR client base, and routes-to-market as well as the establishment and execution of pursuit plans and teams to realise the identified opportunities
- Project Delivery & Resource Management – Recruitment, deployment, Lead and management of the delivery teams to exceed client expectations as well as establishing and developing a connected and ambitious CLC team in West Africa
In all aspects of your role you will operate in the interests of Turner & Townsend, act with the utmost integrity, conduct yourself in a professional manner and deliver your role in accordance with the our values as well as our business management system and processes.
Qualifications
- Must have Project Management, Project Controls, Quantity Surveying or Engineering background with experience in CLC and must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior role, preferably in advisory or consulting
- Professional Registration is preferred
- Experience of consulting within CLC projects and supply chains and/or of developing or contributing to programmes delivering strategic or landscape-scale change
- Essential to have a proven track record for winning work, growing businesses and a network in West Africa
- Excellent presentation and writing skills with experience in presenting complex concepts to a business audience
- Experienced in Business Development, managing client relationships and delivering successful projects in Africa.
- Proven ability to analyse complex problems, interpret operational needs and develop integrated, creative solutions
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills and ability to manage and lead effectively in a team environment
- Reasonable business travel is expected
