Introduction
We are seeking Field Marketing Officers to build and maintain the current retail base by servicing the retail base via the planned call cycle in terms of technical support and Installation of all related hardware, delivery of consumables, merchandising, and training. To complete in-store audits and record each retailer's call details. To monitor store sales performance of client outlets and provide support to enable store owners/managers and their teams to sell lottery products.
Key Responsibilities
- Support all new store openings – Install and activate the devices on site, activate cashier user ID’s, and conduct basic use tests to ensure that the devices/terminals are working properly.
- Provide onsite training to the shop manager and other operators who will be using the lotto devices on the lotto sales, reconciliation, and winner payments processes.
- Complete short assessments to check their understanding and obtain signatures that they have completed their onsite training.
- Obtain the required merchandising materials such as posters, flyers or promotional items from the marketing team.
- Assist retailers in installing merchandising in the correct manner according to the defined merchandising and brand standards.
- Deliver and merchandise point of sale and consumables bet slips, stock coupons and rolls to the retailers.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the terminals.
- Quarterly maintenance on terminals as per agreed KPI.
- Advise outlet staff on the correct procedures for logging system issues, other client service concerns, and player complaints or queries. Act as an escalation point for unresolved issues and ensure that the customer relations team is working on the resolution.
- Illustrate the organizational values and standards through ethical decision-making and interaction with all stakeholders.
- Report significant changes at the retail outlet (such as a change in ownership or significant growth or plans to close down) to the Regional Manager.
- Conduct new activations and promotions in stores.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric / Grade 12 with Mathematics as a subject.
- Certificate or diploma in Sales or Marketing.
- 1- 2 years’ experience in selling FMCG products.
- A valid South African Driver’s license.
