Job Description
In a nutshell
We’re looking for a curious, tech-savvy Application Specialist to join our forensic software team. You’ll support our customers and internal teams by providing expert guidance on our specialised software solutions used in forensic labs, DNA analysis, and kinship testing. You’ll be the go-to person for troubleshooting, training, documentation, and user support, helping real-world experts solve crimes more efficiently.
Where will you be based and what business will you support?
You’ll be based in Dresden, supporting our forensic software customers across Europe and collaborating closely with our development, product, and support teams.
How can you help us?
Customer support & troubleshooting
- Act as the first point of contact for software-related queries
- Diagnose issues and guide users toward effective solutions
- Provide expert support to ensure smooth software usage
Training & documentation
- Design and deliver training sessions and webinars for users
- Create clear, user-friendly guides and technical documentation
- Help simplify complex features for non-technical audiences
Project & product collaboration
- Contribute domain expertise to product development
- Assist in requirements gathering and project coordination
- Share creative input to improve software functionality and user experience
Qualifications
Education
- Degree or vocational training in biology, biotechnology, chemistry, or a related scientific field
Experience
- Initial professional experience is welcome but not required — we value fresh ideas and enthusiasm
- Prior experience with software tools or digital platforms is a plus.
