Job Description
AECOM Building Engineering team is at the forefront of their discipline for the design of the mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) systems required for the safe, comfortable and environmentally friendly operation of buildings. We embrace world class methodologies and technologies, including information rich Building Information Modelling (BIM) to facilitate more efficient ways of working and design at all stages of the project life-cycle.
We are seeking a Senior Engineer with strong expertise in the design of Telecom, Electronics, and Automation Systems to join our team in Spain. This role is focused on professionals who are passionate about developing detailed technical designs for building facilities and who want to grow within multidisciplinary projects of medium to high complexity in an international environment.
Our projects span sectors such as Industrial, Healthcare, Education, Leisure, Aviation, Commercial, and Defense.

Key Responsibilities
- Design integrated control and monitoring systems: BAS (Building Automation Systems), SCADA, DCIM, IoT platforms, and associated infrastructure.
- Produce detailed technical documentation: calculations, schematics, diagrams, technical reports, and specifications.
- Define spatial and connectivity requirements for telecom and automation systems in coordination with architectural teams.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines to ensure seamless integration and system functionality.
- Participate in technical coordination meetings and contribute to project planning and execution.
- Propose innovative solutions to technical challenges and identify discrepancies in design outcomes.
- Support the development of technical proposals for bids and new opportunities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience designing control and monitoring infrastructure for building facilities.
- Proven experience in designing and integrating BAS, SCADA, DCIM, and IoT systems.
- High level of proficiency in both English and Spanish, written and spoken.
- Familiarity with applicable regulations and industry standards.
- Experience in evaluating and selecting technology vendors for control and automation systems.
- Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Visio, and Revit.
- Desired experience in wired/wireless telecom infrastructure, voice alarm evacuation systems, and electronic security systems.
- Previous international project experience is highly valued.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
