We are looking for a Junior Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Engineer (F&DT) (m/w/d)in Getafe.
Your main tasks will be:
- Execution and support in fatigue analysis of aircraft structures, in compliance with certification and re-certification requirements.
- Execution of static stress analysis using NASTRAN-based finite element models (Global FEM and Detailed FEM).
- Running of multiple load cases, data extraction from f06 and op2 files, and execution of post-processing tasks.
- Application of acceleration tools such as macros or Python algorithms to optimize analysis workflows.
- Use of NASTRAN or HyperView for pre- and post-processing of finite element data.
- Use of ISAMI Analyst (version 11.7 or later) for fatigue analysis tasks.
- Support in creation or update of fatigue-related certification documents for AIRBUS commercial aircraft projects, preferably A350.
- Use and understanding of the AIRBUS harmonized method for fatigue analysis (AFI method).
- Interpretation of CATIA V5 DMU for the purpose of structural analysis.
- Use of Aciturri Stress Tool HeavyFue (highly valued).
About you:
- You are an aeronautical or mechanical engineer.
- You have 2 years of experience, preferably all in fatigue and damage tolerance (F&DT). Alternatively, 1 year in static analysis and 1 year in F&DT is acceptable.
- You have good communication skills with fluent Spanish and English.
- You have a basic working knowledge of CATIA V5, particularly for interpreting DMUs in stress tasks.
Mandatory skills:
- Fatigue analysis experience (no damage tolerance required).
- Use of NASTRAN-based Finite Element Methods (FEMs) for static stress tasks: load case management, f06/op2 data extraction, and post-processing.
- Use of NASTRAN or HyperView for pre/post-processing.
- Proficient with ISAMI Analyst (V11.7 or later).
- Familiarity with AIRBUS commercial aircraft projects; preferably A350.
- Experience creating or updating fatigue certification documents.
- Working knowledge of the AIRBUS AFI fatigue method.
