Job Description
We're looking for a Senior Application Support Analyst to join L&G Asset Management in London
You'll be a key contributor to the front office technology production support team; maintaining the stability, performance, and availability of investment systems and applications. You'll also collaborate with various technical teams, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring seamless operations to minimize downtime and disruptions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assisting in responding to and resolving production incidents, investigating root causes, and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence
- Providing expert-level technical support to troubleshoot and resolve complex system and application issues, working closely with other support teams and developers
- Monitoring the health and performance of production systems using monitoring tools, promptly identifying anomalies, and taking proactive measures to prevent potential problems
- Assisting in managing and escalating critical incidents to appropriate teams, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of support procedures, incident resolutions, and system configurations for knowledge sharing and future reference
- Participating in change management processes by reviewing proposed system changes, assessing potential impacts, and ensuring smooth deployment
- Collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to identify performance bottlenecks and recommend optimizations for improved system efficiency
- Contributing to the development and testing of disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or disasters
- Analysing recurring incidents and system outages to identify underlying trends and recommend long-term solutions for improved stability
Qualifications
Who we’re looking for:
- Good understanding of investment management workflows and processes, including portfolio management, trade order management, compliance, and risk management
- You'll also be well versed in leading teams within an Investment Manager / Hedge Fund environment
- Experience operating in an ITIL based organisation
- Proven experience as a System Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role, with a focus on configuring and supporting the Charles River Investment Management System (CRIMS) or Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS) or other relevant front office systems
- Familiarity in FIX Protocol and good knowledge of SQL and Sybase databases
- Familiarity with investment management concepts, financial instruments, and market data sources
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
