Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Engineer - Planning to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this critical role, you will lead the planning and design of large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring sustainable and efficient development in one of the world's most dynamic urban environments.
- Develop comprehensive infrastructure plans for major urban development projects
- Conduct detailed site analyses and feasibility studies for proposed infrastructure initiatives
- Create and review technical drawings and specifications using advanced CAD software
- Utilize GIS technology to analyze spatial data and inform planning decisions
- Perform complex data analysis and modeling to optimize infrastructure designs
- Assess and mitigate potential risks associated with infrastructure projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, environmental specialists, and government officials
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE
- Manage and mentor junior engineers in the planning and design process
- Present infrastructure plans and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent professional certification
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in infrastructure planning or a related field
- Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Strong skills in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and data analysis
- In-depth knowledge of sustainable infrastructure design principles
- Familiarity with urban development trends and best practices
- Understanding of local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong project management abilities, including budgeting and resource allocation
- Effective communication and presentation skills in English
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
