Introduction
Trade Marketers are responsible for product merchandising, appearance and supply in various stores throughout their designated geographic area. By working closely with both suppliers and sales force, they make certain that the promotion on specific products will increase sales over a period of time & ensure objectives are achieved in area of responsibility.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborating with suppliers, sales force and stores to ensure proper execution of plans.
- Follow plans when rearranging or replacing fixtures, shelves etc. making the store more navigable to increase product turnover.
- Inventory Management – manage stores inventory levels including tracking inventory, reordering products.
- Sales analysis – analyse sales numbers and predictions to determine how much stock must be on hand to meet customer needs. Monitor sales performance to identify popular products and anticipate customer demand.
- Product displays – plan, coordinate and install promotional displays to maximize sales and generate revenue. Ensure products are displayed on time and in right location.
- Customer relationships – build and maintain relationships with customers, quality calls.
- Managing layout plans of store and maintain inventory of products.
- Gathering information on market trends and customer reactions to products.
- Analysing sales figures- reporting growth, expansion and change in markets.
- Attention to detail.

- Taking pictures and doing commentary on store visits.
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of Company vehicle, this would include the vehicle being serviced on due dates (Warranty).
- Ensure optimal fuel usage for business use only.
- Fuel card to be used for business purposes only.
- Private milage will be deducted from salary at rate per KM.
- Cell phone allowance to be used for business purposes only.
- Must have a valid driver’s licence.

Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications: -
- Matric, and relevant Merchandising experience.
Experience: -
- 3-5 years’ Sales & Merchandising exposure.
