Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects.
- Quantify and analyze materials, labor, and other costs for accurate tendering.
- Support the preparation, submission, and management of tenders and bids.
- Provide support during procurement, tendering, and contract administration processes.
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring projects remain within budget.
- Negotiate contracts, change orders, and payment claims with clients and suppliers.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide cost advice.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure financial and contractual compliance.
- Assist in managing procurement schedules and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist with valuation claims, variation assessments, and oversee aspects of project supervision.
- Ensure adherence to legal, safety, and quality standards relevant to the project.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Experience:
- 2-4 years of proven experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, or construction project management.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tenders.
- Experience in submitting and managing tenders and bids effectively.
- Familiarity with procurement processes, contract administration, and legal standards used in construction projects.
- Previous involvement in supervising aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to liaise with clients, suppliers, and team members.
- Ability to interpret and apply contract conditions and legal requirements.
- Comfortable working in a team environment and managing multiple priorities efficiently.
Software Skills:
- Proficiency in Candy software for cost estimation, budgeting, and project control.
