My client, a prominent player in the secure payments and fintech space, is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to join their team in Stellenbosch. This is a hybrid role (after the initial 6 months in-office) with flexible working hours.
Duties & Responsibilities

You will play a central role in translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements that guide the development of critical payment solutions. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple projects in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
\uD83D\uDD0D Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document business, system, and reporting requirements
- Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories
- Create and maintain process documentation, workflows, and procedures
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine and groom the product backlog
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure deliverables meet business needs
- Maintain BA documentation throughout project lifecycles
- Continuously improve analysis frameworks, templates, and processes
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Analysis, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- 5–8 years of proven experience in a Business Analyst role
- Fintech, payments, or financial services industry experience is essential (non-negotiable)
- Proficient with Jira, Confluence, Draw.io, Visio, and the Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong documentation, process mapping, and analytical skills
- Fluent in business English; additional languages are advantageous
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
