My client, a leading player in the fintech space and one of South Africa’s most trusted payment solution providers, is looking for an experienced and customer-focused Product Manager to join their growing team based in Stellenbosch.
This is a high-impact role responsible for driving the strategy and execution of digital servicing and e-commerce capabilities that directly impact how merchants engage with the platform. You'll work cross-functionally to shape product vision, enhance user experiences, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Product Vision & Strategy: Define and lead the product vision for online onboarding, self-service dashboards, and e-commerce features—aligned with company goals.
- Product Roadmap: Build and manage a data-driven roadmap, prioritizing enhancements based on customer feedback, business value, and technical feasibility.
- Customer Insight: Act as the voice of the customer—conduct interviews, analyze workflows, and champion user needs throughout the product lifecycle.
- Requirement Gathering: Convert strategies into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering and design teams.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, sales, marketing, and support) to ensure smooth product development and rollout.
- Go-to-Market: Partner with product marketing to drive go-to-market initiatives, ensuring effective messaging, positioning, and training.
- Performance Monitoring: Define KPIs, analyze product performance, and identify opportunities for improvement using data insights.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate roadmap progress and product strategy to stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of product management experience, ideally in a B2B SaaS or fintech environment.
- Experience working on data-heavy products such as analytics platforms, dashboards, or reporting tools.
- Strong knowledge of the e-commerce ecosystem—including shopping carts, online payments, and fraud prevention.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Background in the payments or financial services industry.
- Product certifications (e.g., SAFe, Scrum, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles and user-centric design.
- A technical foundation or solid understanding of software development life cycles.

Package & Remuneration
Salary: R800,000 – R1,000,000 per annum
