Job Description
- Follow up on and execute all tasks assigned by the Executive Chef or his Deputy.
- Proficient in preparing tasty dishes in the hot section.
- Support the Section Head in daily operations and work requirements.
- Work according to the menu specifications set by the Section Head Chefs.
- Always maintain the work area in a hygienic condition in line with hotel standards.
- Monitor and control food stock and food cost within your section.
- Prepare the daily mise en place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen or other outlets.
- Follow instructions and recommendations from immediate superiors to complete daily tasks.
- Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in daily preparation, while keeping up to date with new products, recipes, and preparation techniques.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other sections regarding requirements, cleanliness, wastage, and cost control.
Qualifications
- Diploma / Culinary School graduate
- At least 2 years experience as Commis in a five-star resort
- Speeks Basic English
- Positive attitude and pleasant personality
- Knowledge of basic preparation, presentation, and preservation of food
- Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety procedures
