Situated in country, the Enterprise Information Architect will be passionate about the accuracy and integrity of our
architectural data and repositories, recognising that a solid data foundation is crucial for successful IT
services and informed technology decision-making.
A proactive relationship builder, you will engage with stakeholders across all business areas and
collaborate closely with Architects across the business. Your focus will be to ensure data consistency,
strategic alignment, and ensure that change is delivered effectively, and to timescales. You will champion
the importance of high-quality data, educating the wider business on the importance of accurate
information and will proactively manage our extensive application landscape, improving processes,
artefacts and policy development.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the ongoing assessment and classification of our application landscape, ensuring tools are aligned with business needs and technology strategy.
- Optimise how we capture and access technical knowledge, making it easy for teams to find and use critical information.
- Maintain high standards for architectural artifact creation, ensuring quality and compliance across the board.
- Champion best practices in information architecture, implementing smart metadata standards and leading continuous in how we manage knowledge.
- Identify developments in laws, regulations, and other government-imposed criteria, ad reflect them into strategic and operational policy development.
- Formulate guidelines and protocols as a result of changes in policies.
- Advising and supporting management in the implementation, realization, and evaluation of policies, guidelines, protocols, and procedures.
- Ensuring efficient and effective design, realization, and evaluation of projects, ensuring work is carried out within established quality criteria.
- Provide external representation (regional architecture boards), ensuring that business considerations are managed at the regional and national level.
- Ability to act as a project leader for cross-departmental projects.
- A strong understanding of IT systems and their crucial role within a large-scale commercial business.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise architecture tools and frameworks e.g. capability models.
- Excellent written communication and visual design skills for creating high-quality documentation
- and templates.
- Strong ability to effectively engage and collaborate with key stakeholders, both technical and nontechnical teams.
