As a Junior Operations Pharmacist at our distance-selling pharmacy, you’ll play a key role in compounding and supplying unlicensed topical medicines. You’ll act as the Responsible Pharmacist (RP) when needed, ensuring safe and lawful operations, but with close support from the Superintendent Pharmacist and senior team. This role is designed as a growth opportunity - you’ll gain exposure to governance, inspection-readiness and PQMS design in a fast-paced start-up environment, while developing confidence in day-to-day RP responsibilities.
- Act as Responsible Pharmacist (RP) when on duty - ensuring safe and compliant running of the pharmacy.
- Support in the development and maintenance of the Pharmacy Quality Management System (PQMS) - SOPs, risk registers, audits, CAPAs and training records.
- Oversee safe preparation, dispensing and checking of unlicensed topical medicines.
- Maintain accurate and compliant records (specials register, batch data, dispensing and dispatch logs).
- Contribute to inspection-readiness by supporting audits, reviews and CAPA follow-up.
- Participate in monthly governance processes - incidents, complaints, trend reviews.
- Work cross-functionally with colleagues to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- GPhC-registered pharmacist (essential).
- Strong interest in pharmacy governance, compounding and distance-selling operations.
- Clear, concise communicator; can brief non-pharmacists and write usable SOPs.
- Bias to action in a start-up: prioritise, document and close actions; learn on the job.
- Proactive, organised, and comfortable making RP decisions under guidance.
