About
My broad and progressive relevant work experience of 15 years in Human Resources and Administration in several international and local NGOs in senior positions. My last role as Human Resources Manager for RTI (Empower East and Central Africa) supporting fourteen countries, previously I was the Human Resources & Administration Manager at SOS Children’s Villages Kenya. Where I managed a portfolio of around 30 facilities with a staff compliment of 430. These include: 8 schools, 1 tertiary institution, 2 medical centers, and several donors funded projects. I lead divergent teams in delivering quality work and head both human resources and administration functions. I provide technical and strategic advice that ensures meeting organization objectives. My previous experience entailed reporting and updating the Board of Trustees and the HR Committee. I have vast experience working with the following donors: USAID (For both Prime award and sub award management), DFID, SIDA, European Union, UNCHR, NORAD, and UK AID just to mention a few. In the past have held the following positions, Senior Human Resources Officer at SOS Children’s Villages Kenya, Human Resources Specialist in RTI KYES Project, AAHI as a Human Resources Administrator, Plan international (Kenya country office) as a Human Resources Administrator/Resourcing, Save the Children International as a Regional Human Resources Officer, Save the Children Kenya as a Roving Human Resources Coordinator, Action Against Hunger as a Capital Human Resources Administrator and many other organizations.
Throughout my career I have partnered with the Senior Leadership to develop and implement HR Initiatives that enhance overall business performance. I have a strong ability to organize work force trends and utilize data driven insights to inform decision making. By understanding the unique challenges faced by each department., I have been able to tailor HR Solutions not only meet immediate needs but also support long term growth and sustainability.
In my previous role, I led strategic initiatives that improved employee engagement and retention rates, resulting in a more motivated workforce and reduced turnover costs. My collaborative approach has allowed to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization, ensuring that HR Practices are aligned with the goals of the business and the needs of the employees.
