Company Description
At Streem, we are building the next generation SaaS platform to empower the commercial management of renewable energy assets. Our mission is to accelerate the energy transition by enabling asset managers, investors, and operators to extract more value from their renewable portfolios.
Job Description
We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team and play a key role in bridging the gap between product and sales. This is a pre-sales, high-ownership role, and you will be the first hire in the team, responsible for leading technical engagements with prospective clients.
You will represent our SaaS platform designed to empower the commercial management of renewable energy assets. Our mission is to accelerate the energy transition by enabling asset managers, investors, and operators to extract more value from their renewable portfolios.
In this role, you will:
Serve as the technical expert during the sales process, demonstrating the platform’s capabilities and value proposition.
Lead customised demos, workshops, and test / POCs that are tailored to each client’s needs. You will lead the technical aspect of the qualification process and, after understanding prospects requirements, organise tailored sessions that demonstrate how the platform delivers tangible benefits specifically to their needs and, therefore, helps progress their journey in the sales lifecycle.
Collaborate closely with the product team to translate customer needs into actionable feedback and potential feature enhancements.
Lead responses to RFPs and RFIs, and where needed, assist in drafting the technical aspects of proposals tailored to client requirements.
Act as a trusted advisor to prospects and clients during the sales process, helping them optimise commercial processes using the Streem platform by suggesting best practices and sharing successful client examples.
Serve as the first point of assessment for prospect product extensions by evaluating new feature or functionality requests, assess business impact, and provide recommendations to the Head of Sales and Product Managers on whether to pursue.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the pre-sales function, define processes, and contribute to our rapid growth in the renewable energy market.
Qualifications
Must-have:
Educational background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Finance, or related fields.
Experience:
7–10 years in pre-sales, solution engineering, or sales consulting, ideally in SaaS or renewable energy technology.
Hands-on experience with asset management, renewable energy markets, or portfolio management.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong technical acumen with the ability to translate complex solutions into business value for non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead client workshops, demos, and test / proof-of-concept projects.
Comfortable with high ownership and working independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
Fluent in a second European language. German or Spanish is highly desiderable.
Attributes:
Curious, proactive, and energetic with a problem-solving mindset.
Collaborative and adaptable, able to work closely with sales, product, and engineering teams.
Passionate about sustainable energy and making an impact in the energy transition.
