Job Description
📍Location: Reus, Granada, Málaga or Sevilla.
We are looking for a passionate and skilled PostgreSQL/AlloyDB Database Expert to join our dynamic DevOps team. You will play a key role in delivering Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) solutions for the Magenta TV platform, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of business-critical systems.
Tech Stack & Tools:
- Databases: PostgreSQL, AlloyDB
- Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (IAM, DMS, VPC, Monitoring & Logging)
- Infrastructure: Terraform (IaC), Kubernetes
- Security & Backup: Cloud-native solutions for backup, restore, and disaster recovery
Your Responsibilities:
- Operation, monitoring and optimisation of PostgreSQL and AlloyDB databases
- Setting up, maintaining and further developing backup, recovery and disaster recovery strategies
- Performance analysis, tuning and capacity planning
- Automation of recurring operational and administrative tasks (e.g. monitoring, provisioning, patching)
- Ensuring data integrity, security and availability
- Supporting development projects in database design, query optimisation and deployment processes
- Incident, problem and change management within the ITIL process
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation and operating manuals
- Participation in on-call duty in 24/7 operation one week each one month and a half Â
Qualifications
Skill requirements:
- Proven experience with PostgreSQL and AlloyDB in production environments.
- Strong knowledge of Google Cloud tools and services.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud monitoring/logging.
- Fluent English (minimum B1 level).
- Experience working in agile and DevOps teams.
- Monitoring:Â
- Prometheus good knowledge.
- Google monitoring tools, Grafana, will appreciate.
- Willingness to participate in on-call duty.
