As part of our growing service we are looking for you to join our busy Endoscopy Unit at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust.
We are a highly motivated team running five full time Endoscopy suites, We will also being opening a brand new state of the art Elective Endoscopy Service, so join us as we start this new adventure!
The main responsibility of this post is to be a vital member of the decontamination team, which involves daily manual cleaning and processing of Endoscopes for the procedure rooms. Training and supervision will be ongoing during the first 12 week ‘in house’ competencies. There will be elements of computer use, record keeping and telephone use. will be required
This can be a physically demanding as you will be standing and moving across the site for your shift, so you are motivated and like to be on the go this may be a great role for you.
We offer full in house training to support you joining the team, apprenticeships and the ability to internally progress to various posts within Endoscopy.
Shifts for this role will include a variety of:
Long shift: 09:00 - 19:00 (weekend day 08:00 - 18:00)
Early shift: 2 x 07:30 - 17:30, 2x 07:30 - 13:30
Late shift: 2 x 13:00 - 19:00, 1x 10:00 - 19:00
You will be expected to work in a team and learn all aspects of decontamination of flexible endoscopes. To work alongside the multi-disciplinary team in delivering high level decontamination expertise and care to patients in all areas of the department.
