Hybrid work in Madrid
The Workday HCM Senior Lead will serve as the internal system owner and strategic lead for Workday HCM and Core Compensation, acting as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external Workday consultants. This role is responsible for overseeing post go-live stabilization, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining a forward-looking roadmap for system enhancements. The ideal candidate brings deep functional expertise, strong project leadership, and experience supporting both EU and US HR and compliance environments.
- Act as the internal product owner for Workday HCM and Core Compensation, ensuring system integrity, scalability, and alignment with business needs.
- Lead coordination with external Workday consultants to deliver enhancements, resolve issues, and implement new functionality.
- Maintain and manage a structured project plan and roadmap for future Workday improvements.
- Translate business requirements into scalable Workday configurations, ensuring compliance with EU and US labor and data protection regulations.
- Oversee system configuration, security roles, business processes, and data governance.
- Monitor Workday releases, assess new features, and lead adoption planning.
- Support reporting, dashboards, and data loads using Workday tools (e.g., EIBs, calculated fields, Report Writer).
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and Finance to prioritize system initiatives and ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Provide training, documentation, and change management support to HR and business users.
- Ensure system compliance with internal audit, data privacy, and security standards.
Qualifications
- Workday HCM Certification (required); Core Compensation Certification (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in Workday functional or HRIS roles, with at least 2 years in a lead or system owner capacity.
- Proven experience managing Workday consultants and leading system development projects.
- Strong understanding of Workday security, business processes, and data structures.
- Demonstrated experience supporting HR operations in both EU and US markets.
- Full business proficiency in English.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Degree in HR, IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
