Description
Zodia Custody is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Senior Finance Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial outputs. This individual will play a key role in managing core financial processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting the Group’s strategic objectives through robust reporting and analysis. This role is reporting into the Head of Financial Control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Month-End Management: Lead and manage the month-end close process within required timetables, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Reporting & Analysis: Provide variance analysis and insightful commentary on performance against budget and forecasts.
- Balance Sheet Control: Maintain and reconcile all balance sheet accounts, including the fixed asset register.
- VAT & Compliance: Prepare VAT returns for all Group entities and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Financial Statements: Support the preparation of annual financial statements and notes for the Group and its subsidiaries.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing tax returns across all Group entities.
- Process Improvement: Review existing processes and procedures, identify opportunities for efficiency and control enhancements, and implement improvements where required.
- Projects: Lead or participate in financial projects as directed by senior leadership.
- Ad hoc Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as required to support the Finance team and wider business.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with financial reporting standards.
- Experience in preparing statutory accounts and tax/VAT returns.
- Proven track record of delivering process improvements.
- Advanced Excel and strong systems skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
