Who we are?
The Finance Team is responsible for managing the preparation of balance sheets, financial statements, cash-flow reports, day-to-day record keeping and reporting, including payroll, accounts payable, and receivable.
We are currently looking for a Finance Intern who is eager to learn, motivated, and organized. This internship will give you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in finance and accounting while supporting Exoticca in its fast-growing project.
What will you do?
- Accurately allocate and reconcile all incoming payments received via bank transfer.
- Verify payment details such as amounts, dates, and reference numbers against bank statements, and handle any discrepancies or issues related to payment allocations and communicate with relevant departments to resolve them.
- Monitor the proper and timely issuance of invoices and credit notes to customers.
- Investigation and resolution of billing discrepancies and/or inconsistencies.
- Ensure that billing practices comply with governmental rules and regulations.
- Reconciliation of collections from customers.
- Ensure proper posting of invoices and credit notes and monthly reconciliation of outstanding debt with clients.
- Direct contact with sales and service team members.
- Assist with the month-end close process by providing relevant journal entries, reviewing, and investigating anomalies.
- Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Have completed at least half of your degree credits (mid-career student or above).
- Be eligible for a university internship agreement (convenio de prácticas).
- Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
- Fluent Spanish and at least intermediate English (B2).
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
