Job Description
King and Moffatt Building Services is currently looking to hire an Apprentice Pipefitter for our Off-site facility in Carrick-on-Shannon.
This is a 4-year Solas apprenticeship, giving you the opportunity to earn as you learn, while becoming a fully qualified Pipefitter, with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Craft.
What you would do
- Work with a variety of specialized hand and power tools
- Develop a knowledge of a range of piping systems
- Perform a range of welding processes
- Interpret pipefitting drawings and specifications
- Plan and organize the installation of piping systems
- Inspect and test piping systems and fault diagnosis
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on piping systems
- Day to day liaison with the Supervisor
- Secure pipes to the building structure in an approved manner.
- Comply with all EHSQ policies and procedures as required.
Qualifications
- Leaving Certificate
- A positive attitude towards learning and the ability to solve problems
- Under supervision, efficiently work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrate good work practices including timekeeping, tidiness, responsibility, quality awareness and safety awareness
- CSCS Skill Card/Safe Pass ideally
