We are seeking a motivated and experienced Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in defining the roadmap and transforming Epics into Features and User Stories by collaborating with stakeholders in multiple countries. Your ability to lead multiple agile development teams, collaborate with various stakeholders, and deliver tangible business value will be key to your success.
Roughly 70% of this role will be focused on managing the product while the other 30% will be focused on managing product managers, product owners, and analysts within the Product Management competence group.
Your key product responsibilities
- Contributing to Sanoma Learning's long-term vision for our Customer Identity and Access Management offering.
- Manage and review the roadmap, ensuring alignment with Epics, while coordinating dependencies with other Product Managers.
- Collect and prioritize business requirements from stakeholders across multiple countries.
- Support product demos, showcasing the capabilities and benefits of our solutions.
- Team leadership of Product Owners, Business Analysts and 1-3 development teams using the Agile Scrum methodology.
Job requirements
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and product management skills, delivering successful outcomes.
- Technical insight and understanding in how various products and services integrate, while maintaining great usability for our teachers and students.
- Be a strong team player with experience working in a matrix environment, promoting effective collaboration across teams and products.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Manager or in other relevant positions.
- Display knowledge and proficiency in agile practices, preferably Scrum.
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills, capable of defining clear development stories tailored to diverse audiences.
- Possess fluent communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Previous experience in the educational industry is a significant advantage, demonstrating an understanding of the sector's unique challenges and opportunities.

- Competence Development: Responsible for Product Management competence development and knowledge sharing within competence group members.
- Professional Standards: Support the Product Management Competence Owner in defining professional standards and work methodology within the Product Management competence.
- Problem Solving: Participate in solving complex problems within the Product Management competence, with mandate and decision rights on the “how.”
- Coaching: Coach team members to learn and grow, encouraging and supporting career development within Sanoma Learning.
- Knowledge Sharing: Assist in setting up interaction and knowledge sharing processes among Product Management competence group members in different teams and across domains.
- Thought Leadership: Act as a thought leader within product management to guide, motivate, and inspire competence group members.
